BUSINESS PROFILE: Ed Kruse

Business: Part owner of 2 Christian Brothers Home and Yard Service, 3170 S. Blagg Road.

775-910-2830

Age: 52

First job: "I was in sixth grade and I worked in a transmission shop."

Background: "I have been doing landscaping since 1979. I also did roofing in Florida and plumbing and landscaping in Las Vegas. I came to Christ because I was stupid. I was an alcoholic and I had to straighten out my life. I met my partner Jeff, and that changed my life. We do things together and instead of talking about changing, we did change."

Years in business: "I have been in this type of business for over 15 years."

Personal: "My uncle has 2 ½ acres and I like to help him with it. He's 77 and I like to see what grows out here. I also have a quad and I like to take that out."

Business climate: "When we do a job, we do it like we would want it done and people spread the word about it. This is why we will be successful because most businesses don't do that and in this economy that's important. We do things for God. He gives us everything. We help people out with low prices and we know we are blessed to be working."
