Local author holds book signing

Local pastor and evangelist Thomas Gilbert said he can’t write, but he still has four books to his credit and he will be signing copies beginning at 10 a.m. Sept. 14 at Glory Mountain Thrift Store, 2050 N. Highway 160, Suite 300.

Gilbert’s books all center around God’s messages to his ‘children.’ “He gave me the words to write,” Gilbert said. “Otherwise, those books would never have been written.”

Gilbert said he was “called to the ministry” 10 years ago. “I’ve always been active in church, but God had bigger plans for me.” A part of that plan was getting God’s messages into book form.

Gilbert will be signing “The Times of the End.” The title covers the book of Revelations and the signs of the time in which we live as relates to the timeline set forth in that book.

“Glory Be to God The Father, Son and Holy Ghost,” is the broad spectrum of who we are and why we are here. It also touches on the life of a Christian.

Gilbert said “Family and World Full of Self and Greed: Where Does ‘God’ Fit?” is the story of his own life and how he came to his walk with the Lord.

“Messages From the Great ‘I AM’” is a revival in a book to instruct, correct and provide wisdom to those wanting to take God’s message to the world.

Gilbert wrote the first book in 2011, the next two in 2012 and just finished his last book earlier this year.

He and wife Nancy started Truth in Life Ministries International in 2002. Local church services are held at 10 a.m. Sundays at 720 Buol Road. Bible study is at 7 p.m. Wednesdays.
