1. Calling all highwaymen, stop off at 681 S. Highway 160 and kick off your weekend at the Pahrump Nugget for a night kicking out the country tunes of Willie Nelson. True Willie, a Willie Nelson Tribute band, will play two shows on Friday night playing everyone's favorite "Shotgun Willie" jams. The pair of shows kicks off with show one from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and show two takes place from 8:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. The show will run you $10, but to make the night even sweeter, all guests will receive $5 in free slot play. Before you're on the road again (with a designated driver of course), make sure to create your own whiskey river and enjoy the tunes of a country music legend. 2. Be prepared to have your funny bones tickled with two evenings of stand-up comedy. Mickey Joseph and Shayma Tash will have the audience rolling in laughter at Sanders Family Winery on Friday and Saturday night. Hosted and emceed by Andy Kern, these two hilarious comedians will lead you through a night of fun and making fun. Don't show up alone, bring your friends and family members to enjoy the show alongside you. Attendees can bring their own snacks or purchase some at the winery and of course, complimentary wine tastings are offered that all over 21 years old can enjoy. After the most devastating tragedy in American history took place on Sept.11, 2001 when terrorists hijacked planes and crashed them into several sites including the World Trade Center towers and the Pentagon, conspiracy theories soon followed. A film being shown Sunday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Bob Ruud Community Center, located at the corner of Highway 160 and Basin Road, titled "Firefighters, Architects and Engineers Expose 9/11 Myths" will look to disprove popular theories about what really happened that fateful day. The event will be led by Firefighters for 9/11 Truth's Erik Lawyer and Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth's Richard Gage. There is a $10 suggested donation for event attendees.
