Sears Hometown partnering with Make-A-Wish Foundation

The holiday season for many is about shopping for their loved ones to make sure they get some holiday cheer and helping those who are in need as well.

The Sears Hometown Store, located at 1360 E. Highway 372, Suite 4, has a campaign set up to satisfy consumer shopping deals and helping ill children in return.

Their "Season of Wishes" campaign will help raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation that will help more children with life-threatening illnesses take part in life-changing events.

"We are always looking for ways to help improve the lives of others and are excited to take part in this national holiday campaign that will help raise funds for children who are more than deserving," said Ken Simmons of the Sears Hometown Store.

From now until Dec. 31 customers are invited to make donations of $2, $5 or $10 to support the campaign. As further incentive to customers, those who make a donation of $5 will be eligible for the "Donate Now, Save Later" program, which awards the donor a $10 award card to be used toward a future purchase, which will be valid between Dec. 3 and Dec. 9 and between Dec. 26 and Dec. 31, respectively.

Customers can get an early jump on Black Friday deals at Sears Hometown on Wednesday, November 25, in what the store is dubbing "Wish Wednesday." Customers can donate $5 to Make-A-Wish to take advantage of the Thanksgiving doorbusters and Black Friday deals early from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m., Wednesday, allowing them to avoid the chaos and long lines while supporting the store's A Very Merry Santa Sale.

In addition, those who donate $5 to Make-A-Wish will receive an extra 10 percent off everything storewide from Dec.17 to Dec. 24.

Sears Hometown Store will donate 100 percent of customer donations to Make-A-Wish.

Make-A-Wish is one of the world's leading children's charities, serving children in every community in the United States and its territories. With the help of donors and more than 27,000 volunteers, Make-A-Wish grants a wish somewhere in the country every 37 minutes. It has granted more than 254,000 wishes since its inception in 1980.
