Memorial event for Dakota Salzwedel on Tuesday

A celebration of Dakota Raymond Salzwedel's life will be at the Pahrump Valley High School gymnasium on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 6:30 p.m

Dakota, 14, of Pahrump, passed away on Nov. 18.

Pastor John Dodge will be leading the service.

Dakota was born in Henderson on March 5, 2001. He attended Mt. Charleston Elementary School from grades K-4 and in fifth grade, he attended Manse Elementary School. He then completed middle school at Rosemary Clarke Middle School.

Dakota was currently attending Pahrump Valley High School as a freshman.

Dakota loved many things and was a well-rounded young man. He loved his parents, extended family, friends, and his two dogs. Dakota was passionate about reading, writing, hiking, running, painting and playing his guitar. He truly had a creative talent for writing, painting and music.

Dakota dreamed of becoming either a journalist or a doctor. He had a brilliant mind and could have easily achieved either one of these goals. Dakota was the most caring, gentle, kind and polite young man you would ever meet.
