BUSINESS PROFILE: Annette Taylor

A Perfect Look .. for less, 1360 E. 372, Suite 2.

Hours: Mon- Sat. 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sun. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. , 775-419-6668.

Age: 46

Background: "I did retail for 20 years of my life and the corporate world for six years of my life in Las Vegas. This is my first time having a business. We have lived here for nine years. We are a family business. My husband is my partner and my mom works with me and my daughter also helps me out. At one point, I was a shoe buyer for a major retailer."

First job: "When I was 15 I worked at Burger King and then went into retail."

Years in business: "I have over 20 years working in retail and just a couple of months on my own."

Personal: "I like to spend time with my husband on weekend getaways, but lately we haven't had that many because our store takes a lot of time, so there is not much personal time."

Business climate: "We opened our store to give people an alternative to shopping other than Walmart. We looked around and there is not much out here. We have junior high clothes for girls all the way up to women's sizes. We don't have any men's stuff but maybe one day. We sell a lot of shoes here and have a big variety for women. The clothing items are also doing better since we opened. I base our inventory on customer input and just seeing what's out there."
