Temperatures set to climb in valley
The week ahead appears to be a pleasant one weather-wise, as temperatures are forecast to top out slightly above average for the end of the week.
Today's high will reach 63 degrees, which is above the normal high temperature for this time of year of 58 degrees. The low will drop to 40 degrees overnight.
"Once we start getting into those 60s that's a few above normal for the area," said National Weather Service meteorologist Chris Outler.
The temperatures will feel a bit warmer as temperatures topped out between 45 degrees and 55 degrees last week.
Tomorrow we will see a high of 65 degrees, under partly cloudy skies, then dropping a few degrees for Friday, with a forecast high of 60 degrees heading into the weekend.
Amargosa Valley is also expected to see temperatures climb into the mid-60s next week.
