Dog Grooming

1551 Pioche St.

702-413-8413

Hours: Tuesday through Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Years in business: “We just opened a new shop in the beginning of March.”

Years of experience: “I have been grooming dogs for 9 years.”

Background: “I got interested in working with animals when I worked at Pet Smart in Las Vegas for four years. I got interested in grooming there and then got a job with a place called Happy Dog, where it took me six months to learn how to groom dogs. I can do any kind for cuts and I do all dogs, but not cats. We can do nail trims with no appointments but all grooming is done by appointments and that way the dogs are not in kennels for long. I try to keep the kennel time down to a minimum. I remember being in shops where dogs waited all day to be done and were in cages all day. That is a lot of stress on the dog. We like to set up appointments so that the dogs are not in cages all day.”

Personal: “Our family likes to go four-wheeling out in the desert. We have dirt bikes and just like to be outside.”

Business climate: “There are a lot of dogs here in Pahrump and I just didn’t want to work in Las Vegas anymore. I wanted to be a part of the community here. I have lived here for five years now and I just wanted to help people out here with their animals.”
