Christian Estrada
Age: 38
Years in business: three years
Background: “My wife Sheryl thought of the name because she knew some women don’t like dealing with men handymen. She works with me on this. I got started on this because I went to air conditioning and refrigeration school and through that learned a lot about other trades too. I can frame, drywall, paint, tile and do landscaping. I even have a tractor. I got into this business because my wife overheard some people having problems with a handyman. She heard the guy telling a lady something that wasn’t right. I am a people person. I wanted to get into this business so that the elderly wouldn’t get taken advantage of. I realize that some of the elderly in town need a lot of help and can’t afford contractor prices.”
First job: “As a teen, I helped out my dad and was an assistant dental tech.”
Business profile: “I realize people can’t afford contractor prices. I want to give my customers reasonable rates. Some contractors won’t even touch the small jobs because it is too small. Some people just need a person to come out and change a light bulb for them because they are limited in mobility. We don’t have jobs that are too small. I have a list of references from working out here. I started this job while commuting to Las Vegas for my other job. My goal is to hopefully get enough clients to just work one job here.”
