Photos: a look back in the Pahrump Fall Festival

If you couldn’t make it to the 2017 Pahrump Fall Festival or were so busy with all the fun at Petrack Park, here’s a photo page looking back at the festivities.

The 53rd annual event, which got underway Sept. 21 at Petrack Park, wrapped up Sunday afternoon.

Festivities included a parade, music, dancing, two nights of rodeo action, food, amusement rides, crafts and clothing, a demonstration by a K-9 unit of the Nye County Sheriff’s Office and more.

“We thought we had a great year and all the vendors I spoke to were very pleased,” Pahrump Valley Chamber of Commerce CEO Chris Erwin said for a story earlier this week.

Erwin, meanwhile, said chamber officials plan to hold a post-festival meeting, to discuss this year’s event and plan for the 2018 Pahrump Fall Festival.

“With this event, occurring once a year, we know that even though the festival is four days, we have been planning for it for the past six months leading up to it,” Erwin said. “It was a lot of work, but we are happy with the results. We will probably have a wrap-up meeting in the next couple of weeks to discuss this year’s festival. I don’t anticipate any additional changes, but I know the parade route will be a hot topic of discussion.”

See the Sept. 27 edition of the Pahrump Valley Times and pvtimes.com for more coverage of the festival. And check the Facebook page of the Pahrump Valley Times for photo galleries, videos and more.
