Chamber election mixer tonight

Tonight an election mixer hosted by the Pahrump Valley Chamber of Commerce will be held at the Bob Ruud Community Center beginning at 6 p.m.

Members should bring their completed ballot forms to the event to cast their vote for whom they feel should fill the two available seats on the chamber's board of directors. There is a $10 fee for the event, which includes food to be provided by Wings and Things.

There are seven candidates vying for the two empty spots on the board and they are: Sue Bai (incumbent), Doris Ahrens, Anthony Dodd, Douglas Dubin, Michael Erwin, Susan Holecheck and Salli Kerr.

Chamber members were sent bios of each candidate ahead of the event and those bios can also be found in Friday's Pahrump Valley Times and online at by searching for the story at pvtimes.com.
