Life moves fast and frozen foods have become indispensable for preparing healthy, quick and easy meals. Pahrump Valley residents, it is time to prepare to get up and get those bodies moving.
Most horseshoes tournaments in Pahrump are open only to sanctioned players and operate under the rules of the Nevada State Horseshoe Pitching Association. But with a chili cook-off Saturday drawing a large crowd to Petrack Park, someone had the bright idea of running a tournament in which anyone could participate.
Chili cooks from across the region were laboring away and taste buds were singing as the 2019 Silver State Chili Cook-off took over Petrack Park this past weekend.
Arianna Plant isn’t much for words, but if the 10-year-old Pahrump resident continues to do what she did last weekend in Reno, other people will do plenty of talking about her.

At the core of its organization, Soroptimist International of the Pahrump Valley has one main goal, improving the lives of women and girls and the local group has just started a new initiative that truly resonates with this purpose.
Horses at the Nevada State Junior/High School Rodeo that took place Feb. 22-24 in Pahrump may have been exposed to equine herpes virus type 1 and should be monitored for signs of disease, such as fever, cough or runny nose.
