Pahrump Senior Center parking lot is venue for neighborhood yard sale

The Pahrump Senior Center parking lot at 1300 West Basin Road is ground zero for a special Sunday yard sale from noon to 6 p.m.

Residents at the Sunset Community neighborhood now have the opportunity to clean out their respective closets and earn a few extra bucks for their effort.

Up for sale are collectables, vintage items and virtually everything in between.

Though residents in the Sunset Community can’t hold yard sales on their own properties, officials with the senior center agreed to have the event at the site’s spacious parking lot.

Organizers said so far, a half-dozen residents have signed on to participate.

If the event is successful, additional yard sales could follow.

Though residents living on the property are the only ones who can be a vendor, everyone in the community is invited to come out and shop on Sunday.
