Santa and elves pay visit to detention center

Everybody loves the holidays and those who may have made some bad decisions in life are no different.

To help spread some holiday cheer among inmates at the Nye County Detention Center, Santa and elves, made up of a group from a local church choir, visited those incarcerated at the jail.

Santa delivered a "Christmas orange" and a "Christmas Orange Story" to inmates, while the choir sang Christmas carols to the inmates.

During the visit, the choir members had tears in their eyes when the inmates showed their thanks to them for the Christmas cheer-up.

While these inmates may have been on the county's naughty list, they showed great happiness to the staff for the visit from Ol' Saint Nick.
