Nye County School District elementary menu for the week of October 28 – Nov.1:


Fruit juice and choice of milk offered with each meal.

Monday — breakfast taco, tomato salsa, potato triangle;

Tuesday — scrambled eggs, turkey bacon slice, English muffin;

Wednesday — assorted fresh fruit, granola bar, yogurt;

Thursday — breakfast burrito, apricot cup, cheese portion;

Friday — granola bar, yogurt, fresh fruit.

Monday — chicken nuggets, tater tots, applesauce;

Tuesday — quesadilla or chalupa, refried beans, fruit cocktail;

Wednesday — hamburger, potato wedges, apple;

Thursday — burrito, peaches, animal crackers;

Friday — hot dog or corn dog, chips, fresh fruit.

Conservation work continues at Scotty’s Castle

Scotty’s Castle, located in the northern region of Death Valley National Park, has been closed since Oct. 18, 2015 when almost three inches of rain fell on the Scotty’s Castle area in Grapevine Canyon.
