Pahrump Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) and activities for the week of Sept. 8 - Sept. 12:

2 percent milk and juice available daily:

Monday — ravioli with meat sauce, spinach, brownies;

Tuesday — lemon pepper chicken, au gratin potatoes, green beans, fruit cup;

Wednesday — pot roast, potatoes and carrots, dinner roll, ice cream;

Thursday — macaroni and cheese with ham, mixed vegetables, cake;

Friday — cheeseburgers, baked beans, ice cream.

Activities

Monday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; beading class, 12:30 p.m.; haircuts, 9 a.m.; poker, 12:30 p.m.; Republican Women meet, 7 p.m.;

Tuesday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; bridge, 12:30 p.m.; flu shot clinic, 9 a.m. to noon;

Wednesday — Humana, 9:30 a.m.; crafty ladies, 12:30 p.m.;

Thursday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.;

Friday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; bridge, 12:30 p.m.; poker, 12:30 p.m.

Amargosa Valley Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) for the week of Sept. 8 - Sept. 12:

2 percent milk available daily. Meals are served at the Amargosa Valley Senior Center from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Breakfast served from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Monday — barbecue pork ribs, scalloped potatoes, steamed green beans and corn, dinner roll, frosted cherry dessert;

Tuesday — ground beef tacos, lettuce/tomatoes/cheese/sour cream/guacamole, Spanish rice, refried beans, churros;

Wednesday — chicken gumbo, red beans and rice, colorful salad, honey dressing, chantilly fruit cup;

Thursday — turkey pot pie, steamed cauliflower, cucumbers in sour cream, baked apples;

Friday — pancakes, ham slices, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, melon, yogurt, coffee, orange juice, tea.

Bus service for those interested: Monday, pick up between 3 and 4 p.m., Mecca Road between Route 373 and Miner Road. Drop off after dinner at 5 p.m.

Friday, pick up between 8 and 9 a.m. Farm Road between School Lane and Tamarack Road. Drop off after breakfast at 10 a.m.
