The menu (subject to change) and activities for the week of June 27 – July 1. Two percent milk and juice available daily:
Monday – Chicken Cordon Bleu, parsley potatoes, green beans, yogurt w/fruit, soup;
Tuesday — Veggie lasagna, salad, garlic toast, orange, garbanzo bean soup;
Wednesday — Chicken salad sandwich, carrot/celery sticks, fruit, onion soup;
Thursday — Hamburger w/cheese, lettuce/tomato/onions, baked beans, fruit, soup;
Friday – Sweet and sour pork, rice, broccoli, salad, whole wheat bread, bananas, soup.
Activities
Monday — Exercise class, 9:30 a.m.; beading class, 12:30 p.m.; poker, 12:30 p.m.;
Tuesday — Exercise class, 9:30 a.m.; bridge, 12:30 p.m.; bunco, 12:30 p.m.; haircuts, 1 p.m.;
Wednesday — Blind Support, 12:30 p.m.; Crafty Ladies, 12:30 p.m.;
Thursday — Old Men’s Club meeting, 8 a.m.; exercise class, 9:30 a.m.; Rippits (knitting/crocheting), 10 a.m.; haircuts, 1 p.m.;
Friday — T.O.P.S. meeting, 7 a.m.; exercise class, 9:30 a.m.; bridge, 12:30 p.m.
Beatty Senior Center
The menu (subject to change) for the week of June 27 – July 1:
Two percent milk available. Meals are served at the Beatty Senior Center from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., on Tuesday and Thursday.
Tuesday — Baked pork chop, mashed sweet potatoes, steamed green beans, mixed green salad, low fat French dressing, banana pudding, orange, whole wheat bread w/low sodium margarine;
Thursday — Turkey fajita, Spanish rice, ranch style beans, chopped spinach, low-fat French dressing, pineapple chunks.
Amargosa Valley Senior Center
The menu (subject to change) for the week of June 27 – July 1:
Two percent milk available daily. Meals are served at the Amargosa Valley Senior Center from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Breakfast served from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Monday — Spaghetti with meat sauce, mixed veggies, garlic toast, colorful salad, apricots;
Tuesday — Sweet and sour pork, brown rice, steamed broccoli, mandarin oranges;
Wednesday — Meatball sub, cucumber in sour cream, fresh orange, split pea soup, ice cream sandwich;
Thursday — Oven-fried chicken, baked potato, steamed peas and carrots, garden salad, whole wheat bread, Jell-O with fruit;
Friday — French toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, fresh fruit, orange juice.
