The menu (subject to change) and activities for the week of Aug. 5 — Aug. 9: 2 percent milk and juice available daily:

Monday — country fried steak, gravy, mashed potatoes, mixed veggies, pear crisp;

Tuesday — baked ziti, Normandy veggies, peach crisp;

Wednesday — fried chicken, mashed potatoes, mixed veggies, fruit cup;

Thursday — hot tamale pie, corn, churros;

Friday — patty melt, baked beans, broccoli, yogurt cup.

Monday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; beading class, 12:30 p.m.; haircuts, 9 a.m.; poker, 1 p.m.;

Tuesday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; crafty ladies, 12:30 p.m.; bridge, 1 p.m.; blood pressure checks, 9:30 a.m.;

Wednesday — Walmart, 9:30 a.m.; Healthcare Partners seminar, 9:30 a.m.;

Thursday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.;

Amargosa Valley Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) for the week of Aug. 5 — Aug. 9:

Two percent milk available daily. Meals are served at the Amargosa Valley Senior Center from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Monday — sloppy Joe, potato wedges, baby carrots, cole slaw, peaches, brownies;

Tuesday — zesty skillet pork chops, mashed sweet potatoes, cauliflower, colorful salad, mocha cappuccino ice cream pie;

Wednesday — spinach lasagna, steamed cauliflower, honey dressing, garlic bread, cherry apricot granola cup, bananas;

Thursday — tuna noodle casserole, herb vegetable medley, sliced tomatoes, low-sodium, low-fat Italian dressing, cracked wheat bread, apple butter, oatmeal date bar;

Friday — Breakfast: French toast, bacon, hash browns, apricots, coffee, orange juice, tea.
