Pahrump Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) and activities for the week of: Dec. 7 – Dec. 11. Two percent milk and juice available daily:

Monday — chicken cordon bleu, parsley potatoes, cauliflower, apple crisp, soup;

Tuesday — stuffed pepper, rice, mixed veggies, yogurt, soup;

Wednesday — BBQ chicken, baked potato, broccoli, fruit, soup;

Thursday — mushrooms and beef tips, rice, green beans, cake, soup;

Friday – battered cod, tater tots, Brussel sprouts, pudding, soup.



Monday — exercise class, 9:30 a.m.; haircuts, 9 a.m.; beading class, 12:30 p.m.; poker, 12:30 p.m.;

Tuesday — exercise class, 9:30 a.m.; bridge, 12:30 p.m.;

Wednesday — United Healthcare, 10:30 a.m.-noon; Senior Health Class COPD Seminar, 1-3 p.m.; Crafty Ladies, 12:30 p.m.;

Thursday — Old Men’s Club Breakfast, 7-9 a.m.; exercise class, 9:30 a.m.; haircuts, 1-3 p.m.;

Friday — T.O.P.S. meeting, 7-9 a.m.; exercise class, 9:30 a.m.; Natural Health Care Products Seminar, 10 a.m.; bridge, 12:30 p.m.


Amargosa Valley Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) for the week of Dec. 7 – Dec. 11

Two percent milk available daily. Meals are served at the Amargosa Valley Senior Center from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Breakfast served from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Monday — oven fried chicken, scalloped potatoes, green beans, mandarin oranges, peanut butter cookie;

Tuesday — baked pork chops, sour cream potato salad, braised red cabbage, whole wheat roll, melon, birthday cake;

Wednesday — Swedish meatballs, egg noodles, steamed broccoli, pears;

Thursday — bean and cheese enchiladas, Spanish rice, black beans, green beans, fresh fruit;

Friday — French toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, yogurt and fruit, oatmeal.


Beatty Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) for the week of Dec. 7 – Dec. 11

Two percent milk available daily. Meals are served at the Beatty Senior Center from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Monday — baked pork chops, mashed sweet potatoes, steamed green beans, mixed green salad, whole wheat bread, banana pudding, orange;

Tuesday — breaded baked chicken, rice, whole wheat roll, roasted vegetables, strawberries;

Wednesday — Salisbury steak, baked potato, green beans, mixed fruit;

Thursday — English roasted chicken, herb noodles, zucchini, fresh orange, peach cobbler;

Friday — supreme pizza, beets, melon, pudding.

Neese, Attebery win divisions in PVTBC 9-pin no-tap tournament

Mary Neese and Annette Attebery won their divisions and Attebery and Troy Smith Jr. won side pots Saturday at the Pahrump Valley Tournament Bowling Club’s 9-pin no-tap tournament at the Pahrump Nugget Bowling Center.

Miller, Salzwimmer, Dilger win divisions in Pahrump horseshoes tournament

Ellie Miller of Richfield, Utah defeated Steve Lopez of Kingman, Arizona in a playoff to capture the tournament championship Saturday at the Southern Nevada Horseshoe Pitching Association’s fourth annual Christmas Tree Open at Petrack Park.

Gulley, O’Herron win Turkey Bowl at Pahrump Nugget

Randy Gulley rolled a 985 series to win the third annual 9-pin no-tap Turkey Bowl Tournament on Nov. 26 at the Pahrump Nugget Bowling Center.
