The menu (subject to change) and activities for the week of Aug. 18 – Aug. 22

2 percent milk and juice available daily:

Monday — barbecue chicken, baked potato, creamed peas, rice pudding;

Tuesday — Italian sausage and peppers, broccoli, apple crisp;

Wednesday — meatball subs, corn, pudding;

Thursday — chicken Caesaer salad, celery and carrot sticks, ice cream;

Friday — cheeseburgers, baked beans, fruit cup.

Activities

Monday — haircuts, 9 a.m.; exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; poker, 12:30 p.m.; blood pressure and glucose testing;

Tuesday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; bridge, 12:30 p.m.;

Wednesday — shopping day, 9:30 a.m.; Senior Dimensions team meeting, 9:30 a.m.; crafty ladies, 12:30 p.m.;

Thursday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; Stovall legal services, call 727-5008 for appointment;

Friday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; bridge, 12:30 p.m.

Amargosa Valley Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) for the week of Aug. 18 – Aug. 22:

2 percent milk available daily. Meals are served at the Amargosa Valley Senior Center from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Breakfast served from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Monday — arroz con pollo, steamed spinach, three-bean salad, baked apples, sherbet;

Tuesday — eggplant parmesan, spinach spaghetti, carrot raisin salad, garlic bread, fruit and yogurt;

Wednesday — sloppy joes, potato wedges, creamed corn, cherry pie, vanilla ice cream;

Thursday — chicken salad pita with lettuce and tomato, three-bean salad, vanilla pudding pie;

Friday — biscuits and gravy, bacon, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, mixed berries and yogurt, coffee, orange juice, tea.
