The menu (subject to change) and activities for the week of Aug. 7-Aug. 11. Two percent milk and juice available daily:

Monday – Chicken cacciatore, linguine, squash, salad with fat-free Italian dressing, peanut butter cookies, soup;

Tuesday — Chili dogs, tater tots, corn, peaches, soup;

Wednesday – Swedish meatballs, noodles, peas and carrots, salad, lentil soup;

Thursday — Orange chicken, rice, snow peas, broccoli, fruit, soup;

Friday – Roast turkey, gravy, yams and apple, corn, colorful salad, whole wheat roll, peaches, soup.

Wednesday —Senior Dimensions, 10 a.m.; Crafty Ladies, 12:30 p.m.;

Thursday — Men’s breakfast, 8 a.m.; exercise class, 9:30 a.m.; Infinity Hospice Seminar, 10 a.m.; Rippits (crocheting/knitting) 10:30 a.m.; haircuts, 1 p.m. -3 p.m.;

Friday — T.O.P.S. meeting, 7 a.m.; exercise class, 9:30 a.m.; bridge, 12:30 p.m.

Amargosa Valley Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) for the week of Aug. 7 -Aug. 11:

One percent milk available daily. Meals are served at the Amargosa Valley Senior Center from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Breakfast served from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Monday — Sloppy joes on whole wheat bun, baked beans, baby carrots, fruit cocktail;

Tuesday — Chicken teriyaki, fried rice, layered salad, fresh orange;

Wednesday — Roast pork tenderloin, potato salad, mixed veggies, spring salad, fruit cup;

Thursday — Oven fried chicken, baked potato, fat-free sour cream and chives, steamed peas and carrots, garden salad, fruited gelatin salad, whole wheat roll;

Friday — Bran waffles, scrambled eggs, low-sodium sausage, sliced strawberries, orange banana juice.

Beatty Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) for the week of Aug. 7-Aug. 11:

One percent milk available. Meals are served at the Beatty Senior Center from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Tuesday — Whole wheat pancakes, eggs with sautéed veggies, fresh melon;

Wednesday – Tuna salad sandwich, sliced tomatoes, pears, three-bean salad;

Thursday — Baked pork chop, mashed sweet potatoes, steamed peas, mixed green salad, orange, whole wheat roll.
