Pahrump Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) and activities for the week of Oct. 13 – Oct. 17:

2 percent milk and juice available daily:

Monday — Salisbury steak, au gratin potatoes, mixed veggies, fruit cup;

Tuesday — chicken cordon bleu, parsley potatoes, Normandy veggies, ice cream;

Wednesday — spaghetti with meatballs, squash, applesauce;

Thursday — hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, peas, fruit cup;

Friday — battered fish, tater tots, carrots, frozen yogurt pie.

Activities

Monday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; beading class, 12:30 p.m.; haircuts, 9 a.m.; poker, 12:30 p.m.; Republican Women meet, 7 p.m.;

Tuesday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; SHIP open enrollment, 9:30 a.m.; bridge, 12:30 p.m.;

Wednesday — Humana open enrollment, 9:30 a.m., crafty ladies, 12:30 p.m.; Walmart shopping day;

Thursday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; getting along seminar, 9:30 a.m.; Stovall Legal Services, call 727-5008 for appointment;

Friday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; bridge, 12:30 p.m.; Senior Dimensions open enrollment, 9:30 a.m.

Amargosa Valley Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) for the week of Oct. 13 – Oct. 17:

2 percent milk available daily. Meals are served at the Amargosa Valley Senior Center from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Breakfast served from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Monday — shredded beef and veggie roll-up, Brussels sprouts, butternut squash soup, chocolate chip cookies;

Tuesday — mango chicken stir-fry, brown rice, egg rolls, chocolate cake with strawberry topping;

Wednesday — turkey stuffed peppers, spinach noodles with sauce, dinner roll, carrot/apple/raisin salad, Jell-O;

Thursday — chili, cornbread, green beans with mushrooms, ice cream;

Friday — biscuits and gravy, sausage, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, coffee, orange juice, tea.

Bus service for those interested: Monday, pick up between 3 and 4 p.m., Mecca Road between Route 373 and Miner Road. Drop off after dinner at 5 p.m.

Friday, pick up between 8 and 9 a.m. Farm Road between School Lane and Tamarack Road. Drop off after breakfast at 10 a.m.
