Pahrump Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) and activities for the week of Oct. 20 - Oct. 24:

2 percent milk and juice available daily:

Monday — beef stroganoff, asparagus, pudding;

Tuesday — chicken fajitas, Spanish rice, mexicorn, churros;

Wednesday — pork chops, stuffing, carrots, fruit cup;

Thursday — ham steak, au gratin potatoes, peas, yogurt;

Friday — meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, cake.

Activities

Monday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; beading class, 12:30 p.m.; haircuts, 9 a.m.; poker, 12:30 p.m.; blood-pressure checks, 9:30 a.m.;

Tuesday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; bridge, 12:30 p.m.;

Wednesday — Senior Dimensions open enrollment, 9:30 a.m., crafty ladies, 12:30 p.m.; Walmart shopping day;

Thursday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.;

Friday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; bridge, 12:30 p.m.; United Healthcare open enrollment, 9:30 a.m.; Nevada legal services, 9 a.m.;

Saturday — Monster Mash Dance, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Amargosa Valley Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) for the week of Oct. 20 - Oct. 24:

2 percent milk available daily. Meals are served at the Amargosa Valley Senior Center from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Breakfast served from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Monday — fish tacos, coleslaw, mango salsa, herb potato salad, sugar cookies;

Tuesday — Swiss steak, egg noodles, mixed veggies, dinner roll, apple cake;

Wednesday — green chile cheese enchilada, sour cream Spanish rice, squash, black olives, avocado;

Thursday — black bean soup, chicken salad torta, cucumbers in sour cream, orange pineapple mold;

Friday — huevos rancheros, salsa, avocado, ham, oatmeal with apples, coffee, orange juice, tea.

Bus service for those interested: Monday, pick up between 3 and 4 p.m., Mecca Road between Route 373 and Miner Road. Drop off after dinner at 5 p.m.

Friday, pick up between 8 and 9 a.m. Farm Road between School Lane and Tamarack Road. Drop off after breakfast at 10 a.m.
