Pahrump Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) and activities for the week of Oct. 27 - Oct. 31:

2 percent milk and juice available daily:

Monday — shrimp scampi, angel hair pasta, Normandy veggies, rice pudding;

Tuesday — sloppy joes, potato wedges, corn, ice cream;

Wednesday — herb-baked chicken, rice pilaf, carrots, cake;

Thursday — open-faced turkey sandwiches, mashed potatoes, green beans, ice cream;

Friday — chili, cornbread, ambrosia.

Activities

Monday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; beading class, 12:30 p.m.; haircuts, 9 a.m.; poker, 12:30 p.m.;

Tuesday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; bridge, 12:30 p.m.;

Wednesday — Senior Dimensions open enrollment, 9:30 a.m., crafty ladies, 12:30 p.m.; Walmart shopping day; blind support, 12:30 p.m.;

Thursday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.;

Friday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; bridge, 12:30 p.m.; Halloween Costume Contest.

Amargosa Valley Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) for the week of Oct. 27 - Oct. 31:

2 percent milk available daily. Meals are served at the Amargosa Valley Senior Center from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Breakfast served from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Fridays.

Monday — seasoned sauteed pork chops, apple-glazed sweet potatoes, asparagus, oatmeal cookies;

Tuesday — shepherd’s pie, spinach, apricot bran muffin, peach butter, banana pudding;

Wednesday — rosemary chicken, veggies - carrots, green beans, potatoes, pear cake;

Thursday — tomato soup, grilled cheese sandwiches, carrot and celery sticks, spiced applesauce;

Friday — closed for Nevada Day.

Bus service for those interested in eating at the senior center: Monday, pick up between 3 and 4 p.m., Mecca Road between Route 373 and Miner Road. Drop off after dinner at 5 p.m.

Friday, pick up between 8 and 9 a.m. Farm Road between School Lane and Tamarack Road. Drop off after breakfast at 10 a.m.
