Pahrump Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) and activities for the week of Sept. 1 - Sept. 5:

2 percent milk and juice available daily:

Monday — closed for Labor Day;

Tuesday — chicken fajitas, Spanish rice, sopapillas;

Wednesday — meatloaf, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, cake;

Thursday — spaghetti and meatballs, squash, applesauce;

Friday — battered fish, Brussels sprouts, rice pilaf, fruit cup.

Activities

Monday — closed for Labor Day;

Tuesday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; bridge, 12:30 p.m.;

Wednesday — shopping day, 9:30 a.m.; Dean Heller speaks, 1 p.m.; crafty ladies, 12:30 p.m.;

Thursday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.;

Friday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; bridge, 12:30 p.m.; poker, 12:30 p.m.

Amargosa Valley Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) for the week of Sept. 1 - Sept. 5:

2 percent milk available daily. Meals are served at the Amargosa Valley Senior Center from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Breakfast served from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Monday — closed for Labor Day;

Tuesday — sweet and sour chicken, steamed brown rice, peas and carrots, chopped spinach, egg rolls;

Wednesday — Salisbury steak with mushroom sauce, mashed potatoes, broccoli, dinner roll, mixed fruit;

Thursday — grilled bratwurst on a bun, sauerkraut, vegetable medley;

Friday — biscuits and gravy, sausage, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, coffee, orange juice, tea.

Bus service for those interested: Monday, pick up between 3 and 4 p.m., Mecca Road between Route 373 and Miner Road. Drop off after dinner at 5 p.m.
