The Tommy Thompson Project at Sanders Winery
Even with temperatures climbing, the entertainment options feature an outdoor performance again this weekend.
Saturday, June 22 will be Jazz & Blues Night at Sanders Family Winery on Kellogg Road.
The show will feature the Tommy Thompson Project with blues vocalist Jeannie Snow.
Band leader Tommy Thompson is a stellar saxophonist. One of his claims to stage fame is to hold the note. Thompson learned the art of circular breathing which allows him to extend a single musical note indefinitely if he wishes.
The group plays a variety of styles and will accompany Jeannie Snow. Her voice can be soft for ballads but she can really “belt out” the blues.
The band and Snow can transform from smooth jazz to Latin and the Bosa Nova. They even perform rock and roll.
Gates open at 6 p.m. for wine tasting and the show begins at dusk. Tickets are $15 per person.
Those attending are invited to pack a picnic or snacks.
Call 727-1776 to reserve tickets.
