Valley Cruisers of Pahrump host 21st annual car show on Saturday
Classic car devotees and enthusiasts will caravan to Petrack Park for the Valley Cruisers of Pahrump 21st annual “Over the Hump to Pahrump Show and Shine” from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Saturday.
Several dozen owners have registered for the event, open to all years, makes and models of vehicles.
The event serves as a fundraiser for various charitable organizations in the community.
Organizer Lee Cromer said visitors can expect more than classic cars.
“Maria Anderson and her Southern Knight Band will be performing from noon to 3 p.m., and this event is totally free to the community,” she said. “We will have raffles and free raffles for kids at 11:30.”
More than 20 vendors have signed on.
Cromer noted, car owners who did not pre-register can still take part in the show, as registration at the venue begins at 7 a.m.
There are a dozen categories for owners to enter their vehicles.
“So far, we have about 79 entries that have pre-registered, but people can also register the day of the event for $30,” she said. “This is the only show that the Valley Cruisers actually put on that will benefit the children in Pahrump after all of our expenses are paid. We do this because we want to help the children in the community. This is something that the original people started years ago.”
