Years in business: I have been doing this for nine years.

First job: “My first job was working for Kentucky Fried Chicken when I was 14.”

Background: “Before I started dog grooming and took over this business I was a cake decorator. When I came here there were no jobs in cake decorating and so I got into bathing dogs. The owner of this business liked the way I worked and asked me if I wanted to learn to groom dogs. My very first dog took me all day but when I was done the owner said it was actually ready for a dog show. She said I had a knack for grooming and so when she left the business she left me hers.”

Personal: “When I relax I like to do yoga and Zumba classes. I also hunt and like to travel. I own horses and like to go riding too.”

Business climate: “I am busy all the time here. I take pride in my business and I love what I do here. I have employees but I do most of the work myself.”
