Woman attacked over money
Police said money was the cause of an alleged domestic battery along the 1700 block of Wilson Road last month.
The Nye County District Attorney‘s office filed formal charges on the suspect, identified as Shiela Beavers.
Nye County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Beavers on Sept. 18 after receiving calls for a domestic dispute in progress.
Upon arrival, deputies spoke to the victim and a witness, who identified Beavers as the suspect.
“The victim advised that Shiela Beavers, who is the accused, arrived at the location and an argument started between them over money,” the deputy’s report stated.
Beavers, according to the witness, began hitting the victim over the head as the woman’s son attempted to get between the two, in order to stop the assault, but Beavers continued to hit the victim on the head.
“During the struggle, the victim’s shirt was torn,” the deputy stated. “The victim said she called 9-1-1 and Beavers fled the scene in a blue Chevrolet Cruze.”
Deputies determined the witness confirmed all of the information provided by the victim, as all parties live at the same address.
The report also stated deputies returned to the address after Beavers reappeared at the scene, while allegedly throwing items around the residence.
Beavers was taken into custody and transported to the Nye County Detention Center and booked for domestic battery.
Suspect arrested for stolen cigarettes, outstanding warrant
Though Dylan Michael Condors-Little wasn’t willing to walk a mile for a Camel cigarette, police said he was willing to walk into a local convenience store and flee with ten packs just after 1:30 a.m., on Sept. 22.
As a result, Condors-Little will spend some time behind bars for his alleged act, as the district attorney’s office filed charges against the man.
According to an arrest report, Condors-Little entered the Fastrip convenience store at 961 S. Linda St., and asked the cashier for 10 packs of Camels.
After the employee put the smokes in the bag and totaled up the request, Condors-Little allegedly snatched the bag and ran from business without paying.
Police said the suspect then jumped into a Silver PT Cruiser and fled northbound on Linda Street.
A short time later a Nye County Sheriff’s deputy located and stopped a silver PT Cruiser that was travelling at a high rate of speed along Gamebird Road at Prairie Street.
The deputy also found the stolen cigarettes inside the vehicle, according to the report.
Further investigation revealed Condors-Little had a previous felony conviction on his record.
Additionally, the deputy also learned Condors-Little had an outstanding warrant for several sexual offenses with a $50,000 bail amount.
Condors-Little was arrested and transported to the Nye County Detention Center on a burglary charge and the warrant.
