James Howard Dempsey was charged on Aug. 12 with offer, attempt or commission of unauthorized act(s) relating to schedule I or II controlled substance, with priors; possession of a controlled substance; failing to appear; and habitual criminal, all felonies.

• Ryan Lee Clark was charged on Aug. 12 with possession of a controlled substance, a felony; crossing other than at crosswalk and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.

• Krysta L. Reece was charged on Aug. 10 with accessory to a felony, a felony.

• Clayton Andrew Walker was charged on Aug. 12 with child abuse and neglect, a felony.

• Josephine Marie Mariano was charged on Aug. 12 with child abuse and neglect, a felony.

• Nathan A. Shea was charged on Aug. 15 with offense involving stolen vehicle; possession of a controlled substance, both felonies; and possession of dangerous drug without prescription, a gross misdemeanor.

• Michael W. Wells was charged on Aug. 16 with unlawful use of a controlled substance, a felony; and driving under the influence of alcohol and/or controlled substance and/or with prohibited substance in blood and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.

• Cheyenne Peter Atapour was charged on Aug. 17 with battery by a prisoner, a felony.

• Sandra Dee Hunt was charged on Aug. 12 with battery upon an officer, a gross misdemeanor and unlawful trespass upon land, misdemeanor.

• Lisa A. Williams was charged on Aug. 17 with battery upon a peace officer, three counts, a gross misdemeanor and assault upon an officer, a misdemeanor.

• David Steven Flores was charged on Aug. 12 with open or gross lewdness and indecent or obscene exposure, two counts, both gross misdemeanors.

• Monica Ann Flores-Castillo was charged on Aug. 17 with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or controlled substance, second offense, a misdemeanor.

• Steven C. Oliver was charged on Aug. 18 with driving under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor.

• Latrice R. Pearson was charged on Aug. 17 with petit larceny, a misdemeanor.

• Leland F. Hickey was charged on Aug. 17 with disturbing the peace, a misdemeanor.

• Jacob A. Noel was charged on Aug. 18 with violation of temporary or extended domestic violence protective order, misdemeanor.

• Becky Marie Durnil was charged on Aug. 12 with basic speed and certain unlawful acts, both misdemeanors.

• Edward M. Padilla was charged on Aug. 15 with battery, a misdemeanor.

• Alejandro Nahum Yepez-Arambula was charged on Aug. 15 with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to drive on right, both misdemeanors.

• David Anthony Tassler was charged on Aug. 5 with domestic battery, a misdemeanor.

Pahrump man injured in gunfire with deputy

Nye County Sheriff Joe McGill told the Pahrump Valley Times the incident occurred at a residence along Bunarch Road at approximately 7:30 a.m. on May 14.

Motorcycle rider flown to UMC Trauma

Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Services Chief Scott Lewis told the Pahrump Valley Times that crews were dispatched to a report of a serious two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Sandpebble Street and Kellogg Road on the south end of the valley at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8.

US 95 head-on crash kills one in Nye County

The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash along US 95 at approximately 2 a.m. on Monday morning, May 13, according to Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Services Chief Scott Lewis.
