Howard Powhatan Yeaman was charged Dec. 31 with failing to appear, a felony.

• Charles William Junkermeier was charged Jan. 12 with possession of a controlled substance, a felony; driving without a valid license, security for payment of tort liabilities required, possession of drug paraphernalia and registration with local law enforcement officer within 48 hours, all misdemeanors.

• Jeffrey Tyson Holly was charged Jan. 2 with unlawful use of a controlled substance, a felony; burglary, a felony; child abuse and neglect, battery on an elderly person, both gross misdemeanors; driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance, second offense, a misdemeanor.

• Robert John Windle was charged Jan. 9 with unlawful use of a controlled substance, a felony; driving under the influence of alcohol and/or controlled substance and/or with prohibited substance in blood; basic speed, required position and method of left turn at intersection; and security of tort liabilities required, all misdemeanors.

• Michael Edward Burns was charged Jan. 8 with statutory sexual seduction, a gross misdemeanor.

• Howard Leroy Husted was charged Jan. 6 with driving under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor.

• Rebecca Patricia Nelson was charged Jan. 8 with domestic battery, a misdemeanor.

• Casey V. Groten was charged Jan. 12 with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving on highway having multiple marked lanes for traffic, both misdemeanors.

US 95 head-on crash kills one in Nye County

The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash along US 95 at approximately 2 a.m. on Monday morning, May 13, according to Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Services Chief Scott Lewis.
