District Attorney’s report, Jan. 30

• Jerad Michael Boyer was charged Jan. 21 with obtaining and using personal identifying information of another person to harm or impersonate person, to obtain certain nonpublic records or for other unlawful purpose; possession of a controlled substance, both felonies; and possession of dangerous drug without prescription, a gross misdemeanor.

• Charles David Plinske was charged Dec. 16 with failure to stop upon signal of peace officer, two counts; grand larceny of motor vehicle, both felonies; assault upon a peace officer, two counts; and battery upon a peace officer, all gross misdemeanors.

• William Kenneth Hula Jr., was charged on Jan. 20 with assault upon an officer by a parolee; possession of a controlled substance, with priors; unlawful use of a controlled substance; and habitual criminal, all felonies and domestic battery, two counts, a misdemeanor.

• Joseph Brandon Tarragano was charged on Jan. 15 with petit larceny and possession of portable telecommunication device by a prisoner, both misdemeanors.

• Robin Diane Walters was charged on Jan. 20 with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, certain unlawful acts, security for payment of tort liabilities required, and driving on highway having multiple marked lanes for traffic, all misdemeanors.

• Brett Lucas was charged on Jan. 20 with possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.

US 95 head-on crash kills one in Nye County

The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash along US 95 at approximately 2 a.m. on Monday morning, May 13, according to Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Services Chief Scott Lewis.

Impact fees rising for new development in Pahrump

The cost for new construction in Pahrump has now officially gone up following impact fee increases approved by the Nye County Commission, which went into effect as of Tuesday, May 7.
