The public information below was provided by the Nye County District Attorney’s office

• Vernon Glenn Simmons was charged on June 24 with unlawful use of a controlled substance, a felony.

• Milton Walker was charged on June 23 with assault with a deadly weapon, a felony.

• Mike George Kruse was charged on April 29 with invasion of the home and battery with a deadly weapon, both felonies and battery, a misdemeanor.

• Tom Joe Grose was charged on July 1 with battery with use of a deadly weapon, a felony.

• Steven Albert Gelsone was charged on July 1 with trafficking in a schedule I controlled substance; unlawful use of a controlled substance; and offer, attempt or commission of unauthorized act(s) relating to controlled substance, first offense, all felonies; driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance; tail lamps required; and driving without a valid license, all misdemeanors.

• Charles Daniel Galloway II was charged on June 28 with violation of extended harassment/stalking protective order, a felony.

• Norman Oscar Mullet was charged on June 30 with assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping (second degree) and aggravated stalking, all felonies; domestic battery, injury to other property, assault, and violation of temporary or extended domestic violence protective order, five counts, all misdemeanors.

• Edward Dale Moore was charged on June 28 with burglary, a felony; injury to other property; petit larceny; offense involving stolen property; and walking on highway under influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs, all misdemeanors.

• Nicholas Charles Henry Farnham was charged on June 24 with conspiracy to commit petit larceny, a gross misdemeanor and petit larceny, a misdemeanor.

• Tyler Scott Sunderland was charged on June 24 with conspiracy to commit petit larceny, a gross misdemeanor and petit larceny, a misdemeanor.

• Donna Ann Hale was charged on July 1 with abuse of an older person, a gross misdemeanor and resisting a public officer, a misdemeanor.

• Robin Diane Walters was charged on June 29 with disturbing the peace, a misdemeanor.

• Suzette Bermudo was charged on June 29 with theft, a misdemeanor.

• William Dean Wade was charged on June 28 with petit larceny, a misdemeanor.

• Leslie Alvin Stewart was charged on June 28 with domestic battery, a misdemeanor.

• James Lee Thompson was charged on June 29 with disturbing the peace, a misdemeanor.

• Larry Kent Nafziger was charged on June 28 with engaging in business or submitting bid without license unlawful; bid submitted in violation of this section void, a misdemeanor.

• Joseph Charles Hallenback Sr., was charged on June 23 with violation of temporary or extended domestic violence protective order, unlawful trespass upon land and placing graffiti on or defacing property, all misdemeanors.

• Corey Tarrell Hunt was charged on June 24 with vehicle entering intersection marked ‘stop’ or ‘yield’, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, first offense, all misdemeanors.

Pinkbox opening in Pahrump Nugget

Pahrump man injured in gunfire with deputy

Nye County Sheriff Joe McGill told the Pahrump Valley Times the incident occurred at a residence along Bunarch Road at approximately 7:30 a.m. on May 14.

Motorcycle rider flown to UMC Trauma

Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Services Chief Scott Lewis told the Pahrump Valley Times that crews were dispatched to a report of a serious two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Sandpebble Street and Kellogg Road on the south end of the valley at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8.

US 95 head-on crash kills one in Nye County

The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash along US 95 at approximately 2 a.m. on Monday morning, May 13, according to Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Services Chief Scott Lewis.
