District Attorney’s report, March 13

• Colton Daniel Walker was charged on July, 18, 2012 with unlawful use of a controlled substance, a felony.

• Tyler John Pohlman was charged on Feb. 26 with burglary and theft, both felonies.

• Heath M. Averill was charged on Feb. 25 with offense involving stolen vehicle, a felony.

• Clyde Douglas Burum was charged on Feb. 25 with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or controlled substance and/or prohibited substance, a misdemeanor; and possession of a controlled substance, a felony.

• Dennis Juan Lujan was charged on March 3 with possession of a controlled substance and burglary, both felonies.

• Jason Corey Watson was charged on Feb. 11 with first degree kidnapping, coercion and domestic battery by strangulation, all felonies.

• Jeremy Daniel Carter was charged on Feb. 25 with unlawful use of a controlled substance; child abuse and neglect, both felonies; driving under the influence of alcohol and/or controlled substance and/or with prohibited substance in blood; using hand-held wireless communication device; and driving without a valid license, all misdemeanors.

• Maria Theresa Morales was charged on March 2 with child abuse and neglect; robbery; grand larceny, all felonies; disturbing the peace and battery, two counts, all misdemeanors.

• Jeffrey Kristopher Yang was charged on March 6 with unlawful use of a controlled substance, a felony; driving under the influence of alcohol and/or controlled substance and/or with prohibited substance in blood; driving on highway having marked lanes for traffic; and basic speed, all misdemeanors.

• Jesus Vichique-Pacheco was charged on Feb. 27 with open or gross lewdness, a gross misdemeanor.

•Alejandro Duran was charged on March 2 with battery upon a peace officer, two counts; a gross misdemeanor; obstructing a public officer; and resisting public officer, both misdemeanors.

• Belen Hernandez was charged on March 2 with obstructing a public officer and resisting public officer, both misdemeanors.

• Emilio Duran-Tapia was charged on March 2 with obstructing a public officer, a misdemeanor.

• Eduardo Hernandez-Carrillo was charged on March 2 with obstructing a public officer and resisting a public officer, both misdemeanors.

• Audrey Bayer was charged on Feb. 25 with annoying telephone calls, a misdemeanor.

• Timothy James Persson was charged on Nov. 7, 2014 with assault, a misdemeanor.

Pinkbox opening in Pahrump Nugget

Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Services Chief Scott Lewis told the Pahrump Valley Times that crews were dispatched to a report of a serious two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Sandpebble Street and Kellogg Road on the south end of the valley at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8.

US 95 head-on crash kills one in Nye County

The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash along US 95 at approximately 2 a.m. on Monday morning, May 13, according to Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Services Chief Scott Lewis.
