District Attorney’s report, Sept. 2

The public information below was provided by the Nye County District Attorney’s office.

• Christopher Roy Hennigir was charged on July 12 with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor or controlled or prohibited substance thereby causing substantial bodily harm to another, a felony.

• Ryan Patrick Maclean was charged on July 14 with failure of convicted sex offender to register new address, a felony.

• Sydney Grace Quiroga was charged on Aug. 17 with trafficking in a schedule I controlled substance; transportation of a controlled substance, first offense, three counts; possession of a controlled substance; and unlawful use of a controlled substance, all felonies.

• Ronald S. Knight was charged on Aug. 22 with possession of a controlled substance, a felony; possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to maintain travel lane, both misdemeanors.

• Zachary Michael Harper was charged on Aug. 22 with child abuse; opening or maintaining of place for unlawful sale, gift or use of controlled substance; possession of controlled substance with intent to sell (schedule I or II), first offense; and unlawful use of a controlled substance, all felonies.

• Russell Todd Koehler was charged on Aug. 24 with possession of a controlled substance, a felony.

• Kreg Scott Koehler was charged on Aug. 22 with burglary, first degree kidnapping, and battery with use of a deadly weapon, all felonies.

• Miguel Edward Palos was charged on June 2 with driving under the influence of alcohol, second offense; unlawful overtaking vehicle on right side; and duty to stop at scene of accident involving damage to vehicle or property, all misdemeanors.

• Edward M. Padilla was charged on Aug. 15 with battery, a misdemeanor.

Alejandro Nahum Yepez-Arambula was charged on Aug. 15 with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to drive on right, both misdemeanors.

• David Anthony Tassler was charged on Aug. 5 with domestic battery, a misdemeanor.

• Koji D. Gailey was charged on Aug. 4 with driving without a valid license; driving under the influence of alcohol; operating motor vehicle without registration or plate; security for payment of tort liabilities required; having open container of alcoholic beverage within passenger area of motor vehicle while on highway; drinking alcoholic beverage while driving motor vehicle; and battery, all misdemeanors.

• Courtney Lyn Hinds was charged on Aug. 18 with driving under the influence of alcohol; reckless driving; having open container of alcoholic beverage within passenger area of motor vehicle while on highway; drinking alcoholic beverage while driving motor vehicle; and obstructing a public officer, all misdemeanors.

• James Lee Thompson was charged on Aug. 23 with unlawful trespass upon land, a misdemeanor.

• Lucas Marshall Partain was charged on Aug. 22 with petit larceny, a misdemeanor.

Pinkbox opening in Pahrump Nugget

Pahrump man injured in gunfire with deputy

Nye County Sheriff Joe McGill told the Pahrump Valley Times the incident occurred at a residence along Bunarch Road at approximately 7:30 a.m. on May 14.

A new BLM Nevada Fire Prevention Order is in effect through Oct. 31. The order, issued by the Bureau of Land Management, prohibits specific fire-related activities on all BLM-managed land in Nevada.

Motorcycle rider flown to UMC Trauma

Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Services Chief Scott Lewis told the Pahrump Valley Times that crews were dispatched to a report of a serious two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Sandpebble Street and Kellogg Road on the south end of the valley at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8.

US 95 head-on crash kills one in Nye County

The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash along US 95 at approximately 2 a.m. on Monday morning, May 13, according to Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Services Chief Scott Lewis.
