Five middle school students arrested in marijuana sale

Five Pahrump juveniles were involved in an incident involving an attempt to sell stolen medical marijuana at an area school.

One 14-year-old male student and four female students age 13 years old or younger at Rosemary Clarke Middle School were cited or arrested Friday attempting to sell the medical marijuana, according to the Nye County Sheriff's Office.

The male student took an ounce of medicinal weed from his grandfather and gave a portion to some of the female students involved, which they tried to sell to another student for $5, police said.

The police report stated the students planned to smoke the marijuana at the school dance later that evening or at the skate park.

Two of the five students involved were taken into custody and transported to juvenile probation office, while the other three were released to their parents.

Charges for the five juveniles include sell, transport, give, or attempt to sell or give schedule 1 substance on school grounds; possession with intent to sell schedule 1 on school grounds; possession schedule 1 controlled substance; petit larceny and attempt to possess schedule 1 substance.
