Holiday Inn Express to open in September

The latest hotel in Pahrump is gearing up toward its opening, which now has an official timeline.

The Holiday Inn Express that has been under construction for some time at 861 S. Highway 160 is set to open in September, according to Jace Burgess of Safari Hospitality, the property management company for the Holiday Inn.

Burgess said that he and other executives with Safari Hospitality will be in town this week to unload furniture at the site.

The Holiday Inn signage arrived on site this week and is set to be placed, which will signify one of the last major landmarks in the construction process.

Hiring for the hotel is underway, as Burgess said that Mandy Gendreau has been hired as the general manager for the hotel and she has taken over the hiring process for the rest of the staff.

In conjunction with the NyE Communities Coalition, Safari Hospitality is looking to fill around 20 positions at the site. There will be no job fair to fill the positions, but interested applicants are urged to go to the coalition at 1020 E. Wilson Road to apply.
