The Shadow Mountain Quilters and PAC announce the 2014 Quilt and Fiber Arts Show will be held Feb. 21-23, with the theme “Walk on the Wild Side,” at the Pahrump Event Center (the former Skate Zone,) located at 1261 E. Calvada.

There will be more room for vendors and entries. There will be bed turning demonstrations, a silent auction, featured quilter Judy Toll and door prizes.

Terri Holloway will again be available throughout the show for quilt appraisals.

Fall Festival needs volunteers

The Pahrump Fall Festival will be held Sept. 26, 27, 28 and 29 this year. The festival will be put together by Town staff and any 501c3 organizations that wish to help.

Gunfighters wanted

Pahrump Gunfighters, an award-winning local group, who perform gunfights and skits at events in Pahrump, is looking for new members.

Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Services Chief Scott Lewis told the Pahrump Valley Times that crews were dispatched to a report of a serious two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Sandpebble Street and Kellogg Road on the south end of the valley at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8.

US 95 head-on crash kills one in Nye County

The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash along US 95 at approximately 2 a.m. on Monday morning, May 13, according to Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Services Chief Scott Lewis.
