BUSINESS: Driver for Integrity Taxi

AGE: 65

BACKGROUND: “I retired from the Navy after 20 years and have done all kinds of driving including concrete trucks and limos. I was an agent for a car rental company.”

FIRST JOB: “I had several newspaper routes in Kansas City, Mo., and was delivering papers when John F. Kennedy was shot.”

YEARS IN BUSINESS: “I’ have been working here since 2005 and for Integrity for about four months.”

PERSONAL: “I have a critter rescue, as I call it. My wife and I have five dogs, 5 horses and a goat. She said no pigs were allowed. I spend my time beautifying the neighborhood by upgrading my own property.”

BUSINESS CLIMATE: “I think Pahrump is a good place for businesses to come if the county would give them a break on impact fees and develop a business park for light industry. It would attract entrepreneurs and bring lasting jobs to the area.

“It’s a family-oriented community here and shopping locally helps to support small businesses. I grew up in a small town and like the relaxed atmosphere.”
