Age: 65

Years in business: “I have been training dogs for 50 years.”

Background: “When I was 12 years old I started training dogs and competing. I have done a variety of competitions with dogs, including obedience, Schutzhund, agility, herding and flyball. In the mid-1990s I was co-owner and president of K9 Behaviour and Training Center in Las Vegas. I have extensive education in canine behavior modification and training techniques that can assist my clients with any doggy problem. I am a motivational trainer and I believe no problem is unmanageable using the proper techniques tailored to your specific environment. No dog is too young or too old not to benefit from proper guidance and patience.”

First job: “I was a lifeguard at 14 in New Jersey.”

Personal: “To relax, I train dogs. I love working with dogs. If I am stressed, I just need to work with dogs and that does it for me.”

Business climate: “The climate is poor in Pahrump. People here know everything about dogs and so they don’t want to pay someone to solve their problems. I usually get clients when they are desperate.”
