IN PROFILE: Jonathan Nelson

BUSINESS: Attorney for Half-Price Lawyers

AGE: 33

BACKGROUND: “I graduated law school in 2008. I worked in corporate banking from 2001 until I started my private practice.”

FIRST JOB: “I worked in a Michigan greenhouse making sure the seedlings were planted correctly.”

YEARS IN BUSINESS: “I’m from Las Vegas but have been commuting to Pahrump for over a year.

We donated 500 sports calendar posters for Trojan althletics and we are excited for them. We’ve volunteered and donated to the Senior Center and pretty much any charity upon request that needs a speaker for an event.

PERSONAL: “I recently got married and spend time learning to be a good husband. I’m even learning how to cook, but after a rough week, a bottle of wine and a good meal at home is what I enjoy.”

BUSINESS CLIMATE: “I spent years in Las Vegas where businesses don’t tend to go the extra mile to keep customers satisfied with their services. Here, it matters. It helps the local economy when people keep their business here and this community seems to appreciate good service and will tell their friends. The economy starts with people and businesses getting together. We need a feet-on-the-ground approach and spend wisely to promote what is here and attract new businesses.”
