BUSINESS: Broker/Realtor for The Land Office

AGE: 57

BACKGROUND: “I worked for the Rio as a pit clerk before moving on to working in a medical office. I got my Realtor license 20 years ago and have had my broker’s license for six years.”

FIRST JOB: “I worked in a private care nursing home in New York and loved it. Working with those people gave me a new perspective on life. I was 16.”

YEARS IN BUSINESS: “I’ve been working here for 20 years and recently opened Stuff’d Deli with my daughters. We are members of the Chamber of Commerce and I’m a former member of the Kiwanis. The Land Office supports specific charities but each individual agent has their own charitable interests. Together we support everything.”

PERSONAL: “I don’t have a lot of free time but enjoy working with my family at the deli and I think it’s important.”

BUSINESS CLIMATE: “I think Pahrump is a good place for business based on the small businesses coming together to help each other succeed. There was a two to three year lag when it slowed terribly, small businesses are growing and there are new businesses coming into town. A lot of the growth depends on the commissioners. The county has to step up and make it easier for new businesses to come here and hold back on the fees.”
