Mercy Air to add second aircraft to Pahrump hospital

Mercy Air is set to celebrate the addition of a second aircraft that will serve the area’s emergency needs. As Mercy Air is set to celebrate 15 years of service in Pahrump, they are ready to add the additional aircraft that will service the valley out of Desert View Hospital.

To celebrate the new addition, Mercy Air will host an aircraft landing and ribbon cutting today, at Desert View Hospital, starting at 9:45 a.m.

The new helicopter will be in service from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m., seven days a week at the hospital, which will in turn reduce response times for patients in need of emergency transportation to Las Vegas for a higher level of care.

The addition of the second aircraft will allow for the Mercy Air ship base located on Calvada Boulevard to be more available to respond to the scene of 911 calls and serve as a secondary ship to DVH.

Today’s festivities will kick off with an aircraft landing at 9:45 a.m., followed by the ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. Refreshments will be served shortly after the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
