Nye County District Attorney’s report

The public information below was provided by the Nye County District Attorney’s office.

Joanna Castro was charged on Aug. 16 with child abuse or neglect, two counts, a felony.

Bryan W. Folks was charged on Aug. 30 with driving under the influence of alcohol, third offense, a felony.

Daniel Joseph Webb was charged on Aug. 24 with attempted murder with use of a deadly weapon; assault with a deadly weapon, two counts; possession of a controlled substance, two counts, battery (strangulation); battery causing substantial bodily harm, all felonies; aiming a firearm at a human being; discharging a firearm where person might be endangered, a gross misdemeanor; injury to other property; domestic battery; and possession of a firearm when under the influence of alcohol, controlled substance or other intoxicating substance, all misdemeanors.

Eric Elbert Oakes was charged on Aug. 28 with failure to provide sustenance for impounded/confined animals, a misdemeanor.

Charles Kevin Righter was charged on Aug. 29 with having open container of alcoholic beverage within passenger area of motor vehicle while on highway; drinking alcoholic beverage while driving motor vehicle; driving under the influence of alcohol; failure to maintain travel lane; and duty of driver to decrease speed under certain circumstances, all misdemeanors.

Amber Rae Rorrer was charged on Aug. 29 with driving under the influence of alcohol; failure to maintain travel lane, two counts; and basic speed, all misdemeanors.

Anthony Alex Vasquez Jr., was charged on Aug. 29 with driving under the influence of alcohol and approach to stopped authorized emergency vehicle making use of flashing lights, both misdemeanors.

Greg Webb was charged on Aug. 29 with driving under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor.

Jack Carson was charged on Aug. 31 with driving under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor.

Nye County Sheriff Joe McGill told the Pahrump Valley Times the incident occurred at a residence along Bunarch Road at approximately 7:30 a.m. on May 14.

US 95 head-on crash kills one in Nye County

The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash along US 95 at approximately 2 a.m. on Monday morning, May 13, according to Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Services Chief Scott Lewis.
