Nye County District Attorney’s report

The public information below was provided by the Nye County District Attorney’s office.

• Devin Jezair Riley was charged on Oct. 2 with establishing or possessing financial forgery laboratory; forgery; uttering forged instrument; trafficking in a schedule I controlled substance; ex-felon in possession of firearm(s); grand larceny; conspiracy; and habitual criminal, all felonies.

• Kaylie Anna Baras was charged on Oct. 2 with establishing or possessing financial forgery laboratory; forgery; uttering forged instrument; trafficking in a schedule I controlled substance, all felonies; and conspiracy, a gross misdemeanor.

• Sharon Lyn Primm Riley was charged on Oct. 2 with establishing or possessing financial forgery laboratory; forgery; uttering forged instrument; trafficking in a schedule I controlled substance, all felonies; and conspiracy, a gross misdemeanor.

•Demetric Anthony Matlock was charged on Oct. 2 with establishing or possessing financial forgery laboratory; forgery; uttering forged instrument; trafficking in a schedule I controlled substance; ex-felon in possession of firearm(s), all felonies; and conspiracy, a gross misdemeanor.

• Deonte Griffin was charged on Oct. 2 with child abuse, a felony.

• Jeffrey Garnett was charged on Oct. 4 with possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.

• Amanda Kristine Brady was charged on Sept. 25 with possession of a controlled substance, a felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless driving, driving without a valid license, and no insurance, all misdemeanors.

• Ryan Erin Hubbell was charged on Sept. 25 with unlawful taking of a vehicle, a gross misdemeanor.

• Carlos Badena-Vargas was charged on Oct. 3 with domestic battery, a misdemeanor.

• Shauna Le Gibbons was charged on Oct. 3 with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or controlled substance and resisting a public officer, both misdemeanors.

Pinkbox opening in Pahrump Nugget

Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Services Chief Scott Lewis told the Pahrump Valley Times that crews were dispatched to a report of a serious two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Sandpebble Street and Kellogg Road on the south end of the valley at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8.

US 95 head-on crash kills one in Nye County

The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash along US 95 at approximately 2 a.m. on Monday morning, May 13, according to Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Services Chief Scott Lewis.

Impact fees rising for new development in Pahrump

The cost for new construction in Pahrump has now officially gone up following impact fee increases approved by the Nye County Commission, which went into effect as of Tuesday, May 7.
