Nye County District Attorney’s report

The public information below was provided by the Nye County District Attorney’s office.

• Edgar Modesto Marquez-Hernandez was charged on June 19 with eluding peace officer with endangerment to persons or property, a felony; basic speed; certain unlawful acts; failure to maintain travel lane; and stop required on signal of peace officer, all misdemeanors.

• Marcello V. Napolitano was charged on June 22 with possession of a controlled substance, a felony.

• Teresa Dawn Shepherd was charged on June 22 with offer, attempt, or commission of unauthorized act(s) relating to controlled substance, first offense, a felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.

• Michael Edwin Wingo was charged on June 30 with attempting to leave stop at scene of accident involving death or personal injury, a felony; driving under the influence of alcohol; vehicle entering intersection marked ‘stop’ or ‘yield’; and attempting to leave the scene of accident involving damage to vehicle or property, all misdemeanors.

• Jennifer Mae Kurpiel was charged on June 30 with possession of a controlled substance, a felony.

• Michael Sean McDonald was charged on June 27 with battery by a prisoner, a felony

• Dwain Eric Wallace was charged on June 27 with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a controlled substance, both felonies; and driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.

• Bradly Wayne Day was charged on June 28 with burglary; identity theft of an older or vulnerable person; attempted obtaining money under false pretenses from older person, $650 or more; forgery; possessing or receiving forged instruments or bills; and unlawful use of a controlled substance, all felonies.

• Damon Michael Port aka Speedy Blanco was charged on June 23 with uttering forged instrument, a felony, and possession of dangerous drug without prescription, three counts, a gross misdemeanor.

• Patrick James Brown was charged on June 8 with driving under the influence of alcohol, second offense; driving while license cancelled, revoked, or suspended; possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, first offense; possession of fictitious, cancelled, revoked, suspended or altered registration or plate; operating motor vehicle without registration or plate; no insurance; injury to other property; and injury to other property, $25 or more, three counts, all misdemeanors.

• Robin Faith Gavan was charged on June 26 with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or controlled substance and/or prohibited substance, a misdemeanor.

• Gina Louise Bustillos was charged on June 26 with domestic battery, a misdemeanor.

• Kenneth James Willhite Jr., was charged on June 27 with driving without a valid license, certain unlawful acts, obstructing a public officer, and resisting a public officer, all misdemeanors.

• Michael Grant Williams was charged on June 27 with possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.

• Nicholas Shawn Patterson was charged on June 28 with driving while license canceled, revoked or suspended, a misdemeanor.

• Donald Salvadore Blanchard was charged on June 28 with operating a motor vehicle without registration or plate; driving without a valid license; and obstructing a public officer, all misdemeanors.

• Tricia Rita Evans was charged on June 29 with battery, two counts, a misdemeanor.

Pinkbox opening in Pahrump Nugget

Pahrump man injured in gunfire with deputy

Nye County Sheriff Joe McGill told the Pahrump Valley Times the incident occurred at a residence along Bunarch Road at approximately 7:30 a.m. on May 14.

Motorcycle rider flown to UMC Trauma

Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Services Chief Scott Lewis told the Pahrump Valley Times that crews were dispatched to a report of a serious two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Sandpebble Street and Kellogg Road on the south end of the valley at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8.

US 95 head-on crash kills one in Nye County

The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash along US 95 at approximately 2 a.m. on Monday morning, May 13, according to Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Services Chief Scott Lewis.
