Members of Pahrump’s Tribe Motorcycle Club will hit the streets of Pahrump on Sunday, Dec. 11, all in the name of goodwill, generosity and Christmas spirit.
The spectacle is part of the annual Oasis Outreach Christmas Toy Run.
Ralph “Red” Pillman, international president of the motorcycle club, said he and fellow members will deliver donated toys to dozens of families once again this year.
The group is now seeking donations of toys to deliver to area children.
“We serve babies and youth up to 14 or 15 years of age,” Pillman said. “Sometimes we can give bicycles to them and other times its just different toys, games and stuff like that. People can also provide monetary donations as well. Our list of children is already filled up.”
As a result, Pillman said at present, the group is short on donations.
“God will see it through,” he said. “If anyone wants to send a donation they can reach me at 775-727-6931.”
Pillman also said anyone wishing to join the toy run are welcome to do so on Sunday.
Their location is in the heart of town.
“If someone wants to participate in the actual toy run, they can come to our Oasis Outreach Second Street location and then we go from place to place and deliver the toys,” Pillman said. “We will leave there about 10:30 or 11 a.m. We are also there the night before where we wrap the toys and stuff like that.”
Pillman said the Tribe has performed the annual toy run for more than 20 years.
“We also supply turkeys and food to the families,” he said. “Right now, I think we have about 145 kids that we will be delivering to. We also have some we will deliver to personally. There are other organizations in town who have toy drives and among all of us, we can cover a lot of kids but sadly, we can’t get them all.”
