Pahrump’s Tractor Supply to host Out Here With Animals event

Animal lovers of the Pahrump Valley rejoice, for an event honoring the relationship between man and beast is right around the corner.

Pahrump’s own Tractor Supply Store is set to play host to a critter-oriented celebration as part of the company’s newly created Out Here With Animals campaign.

“Tractor Supply Company in Pahrump is hosting pet adoptions, a pet supplies drive and more on Saturday, Aug. 25 as part of Out Here With Animals, its month-long event for animals of all kinds and the people who care for them. On Aug. 25 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., community members and their dogs, cats, pigs, goats and more are invited to make their way to the Pahrump Tractor Supply to support local pet adoptions,” a news release announcing the event detailed.

Tractor Supply Media Contact Lauren McKirgan explained that 2018 marks the first year for Out Here With Animals, which spawned from a previous, smaller-scale event.

“In the past, Tractor Supply has celebrated pets in August with an event called PAW (Pet Appreciation Week),” McKirgan said. “Many of the same elements from PAW exist in Out Here With Animals, like the pet supply drive, pet adoptions, Rescue Your Rescue contest, etc. This year, though, the event was extended from a week to a full month to expand the celebration. This event not only allows Tractor Supply to offer a place for communities to come together to celebrate animals of all kinds together, but it also allows them to highlight the great work of local animal organizations.”

The Out Here With Animals campaign is nationwide and Tractor Supply stores all across the U.S. will be getting in on all the fur-filled fun. In Pahrump, West Star Animal Rescue will be on hand to help make the event a truly memorable experience, offering animals for adoption for those who want to open their hearts and homes to a brand new pet.

At the same time, Out Here With Animal patrons can help brighten the lives of many animals by participating in the pet supply drive. All month long, residents can drop off donations of pet essentials such as sealed food, toys, cleaning supplies, pet beds, scratching posts, leashes, bowls and much more. These items will then be distributed to West Star Animal Rescue to help with its mission of saving animals and finding loving homes for them.

“The supplies drive is an important component to Out Here With Animals because it allows our customers who don’t have the ability to adopt to still give back in a much-needed way,” Pahrump Tractor Supply Manager Mark Slingerland added. “Our team members believe that animals of all kinds are worth celebrating. Out Here With Animals allows us to do just that by providing us with opportunities to do our part in supporting local animal rescue groups.”

Of course, sales and discounts will be a big part of the celebration as well, with deals on a wide variety of products for those purchasing either for the pet supply drive or for themselves and their pets. Additionally, the local 4-H club will be on site donating pet washes, McKirgan remarked, so residents are encouraged to load up their friendly, leashed animal pals and head down to Tractor Supply to enjoy all there is to see and do this Saturday.

Pahrump Tractor Supply is located at 900 E. Highway 372. For more information call Tractor Supply at 775-727-1500.
