Pleasant weekend weather expected for Easter

After a breezy week, things will settle down in time for the Easter weekend with pleasant temperatures forecast.

The National Weather Service said that high temperatures in the valley will be in the mid-to-upper-70s from Friday through Monday, before a low pressure system makes its way to town, dropping temps and bringing precipitation chances with it.

“Looks like it will be dry at least through Sunday, with very small chances of rain coming as early as Monday, but a little better chance on Tuesday,” said Chad Norman, National Weather Service meteorologist.

A weather system that is off the Gulf of Alaska will move south toward Southern Nevada at the start of the work week and will drop the high temperature to 63 degrees Tuesday, a 10-degree drop from Monday’s 73 degree forecast temperature, and is also responsible for the inclement weather chances.

A slight chance of showers will remain on Wednesday, with temperatures topping out at 67 degrees.

Lows throughout the next seven days will range from 51 degrees Sunday evening, to 39 degrees Tuesday night.
