Pleasant weekend weather expected for Pahrump Valley

The week of cooler, seasonable temperatures will continue into the weekend for the Pahrump Valley.

High temperatures will hover around the low to mid-80s for the Columbus Day weekend, with sunny skies and little wind expected, according to the National Weather Service.

“There won’t be any considerable wind for Pahrump through the entire week period,” said Caleb Steele, National Weather Service meteorologist.

The hottest day of the week will be Sunday, where the high is expected to reach 87 degrees.

On Columbus Day Monday, a slight disturbance will move into the area, bringing very slight precipitation chances with it.

“There is a pretty small chance of rain, but mainly over the mountains and probably won’t fall on the Pahrump side, but it might develop on the mountains,” Steele said.

The high will reach 86 degrees on Monday, before cooling off a bit toward the middle of the week, with temperatures expected to top out at around 84 and 81 degrees, with lows dipping to the low 60s.
